Key Messages – June 21

23rd June 2021

Key Messages for June, including update for club fees and the club annual general meeting.

Following the extension of the latest lockdown period in January 2021, which went into March 2021, we instructed coaching staff to ask our parents to cancel their monthly direct debit mandates for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

The Club intends to offset the January and February 2021 monthly fee payments against the start of the new season, which means that the new direct debit mandates must be set up for payment on 1 October 2021 (instead of August 2021).

Where any parents cancelled their payments earlier, we will make alternative arrangements for start dates. To this effect, we will review all payments for the 202/21 season and contact you where alternative arrangements are required.

The review will also address any non-payment matters, as it is Club policy that player membership is cancelled after two months of non-payment of Club fees. We will discuss such cases on a personal basis.

If anyone is experiencing ‘hardship’, or has financial concerns in the short term, we would ask that you either mention this to your team coach, or contact Gary Stephenson (Club Chairman / Safeguarding Officer) in confidence at [email protected] so we can assist with any reimbursement of fees and/or hardship support via external sources, such as the FA.

We are finalising arrangements for presentation events and will confirm these when known for all age groups.

At present, the mini soccer section presentation event is confirmed for Saturday 26 June 2021, at Links Avenue. Further details will be relayed by team coaching staff.

The Club Development Plan continues, with significant grants being secured for pitch improvement work (Phase 1) and initial discussions being started regarding clubhouse and changing facility development (Phase 2).

We are actively seeking new volunteers to work as football coaches, assist with the Development programme and also to join our Management Team. Please email [email protected] for further information.

We will remain connected with our players through teamcoaches and Club social media platforms.

In the meantime, please stay safe and follow Government guidelines and restrictions to keep EVERYONE safe in these challenging times. This includes following the COVID-19 measures we have put in place for players, staff and parents attending training and games at Links Avenue.

Our Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place via Zoom at 6.30pm on Wednesday 30 June 2021.
